Captans is a small designer boutique resort spread over 2.5 acres of lush greenery, located in a picturesque Western Ghats (hill) resort off Lonavla, 2500 ft above sea level between Bombay and Pune. It is 100 KM from Bombay (2 Hrs) and 70 KM (1 HR) from Pune accessible by the new Bombay Pune expressway. It is well connected by rail also as all trains to Banglore and Madras from Bombay stop here.

Rooms :- The Captans Resort had double rooms, single rooms and suites. All the rooms are air-conditioned and have attached bathrooms etc. Some rooms are facing the highway and some are facing the valley, all with an excellent view. The highway-facing rooms overlook the newly opened Water Park, Wild Waters.
Each room also includes Refrigerator, Channel Colour TV, Channel Music, Safe Deposit, Mini Bar, Direct Dialing Facilities, 24 Hrs Room Service and 24 Hrs Hot and Cold Water.
   
Captans is only 4 KM from the Lonavla Bus Station yet situated in the most pristine environment on the Rajmachi road beyond the Tungarli Lake and the tribal village of Thakurwadi, in the vicinity of the giant Walvan lake and perched on the edge of the Ghats on the fringe of the beautiful Rajmachi/Bhimashankar wildlife Sanctuary/nature park, it has some of the most amazing views of the Western Ghats and ranges.
Facilities:- The Captans Resort has a number of facilities making ones stay at the Fariyas truly fulfilling. It has an indoor temperature controlled swimming pool, called the "The Lagoon". It is also equipped with various water sport equipment making the pool very interesting, by offering more than just a normal swim. Adjacent to the Lagoon are the Table Tennis tables where one can test their skill with the racket and the ball.

Rail: Lonavala is on the main railway line between Mumbai and Pune. All express trains plying between the two cities stop here.
